Rest Day 1/6/13

Yesterday was an amazing event at CrossFit Redzone in Newtown, CT.  Over the course of 6 hours more than 900 athletes did a tribute wod for the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy.  The CrossFit community should be commended for their generosity and kindness.  The Kling brothers should be congratulated on a job well done and the CF community should be proud to have come together on such short notice to be part of an amazing event.  Between all the contributions from around the world there will end up being close to $100,000 raised.  Thank you to ALL who donated, participated, and supported the cause.

Tim Burke, head coach and programmer at Hybrid Athletics, drove 11 hours to Johnson City, Tennessee and put on a great CrossFit Strongman seminar for 30 people.  Tim has been with me since the beginning—he’s seen and heard every one of my lectures over the last 4 years.  There was no doubt that he was ready to lead his own seminar.  Great job, Tim.  Thanks for covering while I was in Newtown.

Dom Maurici, owner of Caution CrossFit in Miami, Florida is the newest coach on the CF Strongman seminar staff.  He exemplifies the best qualities of a great CF coach and we are lucky to have him on the team.  I strongly believe the CF community is going to learn a lot more about this great athlete and coach.

Tony Blauer is coming to Hybrid Athletics on February 23.  His one day CF Defense seminar is a great way to learn how to protect yourself against jerks.  Take a look at the videos below.  You can also register for the course using the link.

  1. Congrats Dom from Caution CrossFit. I took my Strongman seminar there and had a great experience. Well deserved.
