How about a 1/2 mile with a 42lb child on your back? Ran with my son on my back as a warm-up for the 10x100m yesterday.

I ran 3 miles with my 40#vest two weeks ago. Kept steady at 9min miles, but definitely could have gone quicker for only 1 mile.
