IF one does not own a vest, whats the best way to approach a workkout of like this besides carrying a plate?

I started to add your strongman WOD to my workouts,my first one was 3RM pull-ups got to #70 , and todays weighted run was great, did it at 7 min/mi pace, freaking smoked me. Thanks for the great WOD’s.

  3. My gym did a 1 mile time trial last week so i put a vest on for that. 8 minutes flat. Up from 655 in october but i didn’t pace. I went balls to the wall the first 600 and had to stop

    This took me 15:31 BUT–

    1) I have no vest, so I was using a barbell. I had to adjust the damn thing about 100 times during the run.
    2) It’s snowing pretty heavily here on Cape Cod. I kept a slower pace deliberately to keep from falling on my face, as I was essentially running on black ice.

I still got a in a really great session.

8:17 with the vest, took about two min to rest, and get the vest off, ran another mile without and did it in 7:11

Very mentally tough with the vest.

  8. 6:50 at the track w/ 40# vest

Really want to chase down a sub 6 mile w/ vest.
